Our Mission

National Service Gear provides goods and services that support the missions of volunteer, military and government agencies, while also providing gainful employment for blind Americans.

Our History

National Service Gear was established in 2009 by IB Milwaukee to provide volunteer clothing, gear and promotional items to the Corporation for National & Community Service and its programs – Learn and Serve America, Senior Corps and AmeriCorps. Always top-of-mind was making sure that National Service Gear enhanced IB Milwaukee’s efforts in providing career opportunities for visually impaired Americans.

National Service Gear then expanded the partnership with the CNCS by offering advertising and marketing support that led to becoming the official provider of those items to the CNCS.

National Service Gear continued to expand its expertise and now offers its own AbilityOne Program that provides customized products, services and solutions for volunteer, military and government agencies.
